Radiation oncology requires you to possess a highly specialized knowledge base. In this program, you’ll learn how radiobiology is used to treat various forms of cancer, and recognize the risk factors and nursing interventions for the common side effects of treatment.
At the end of the course, if you pass the final exam (80% or higher), you’ll receive a certificate of added qualification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation and a NCPD certificate from ONS. The radiation therapy certificate of added qualification is valid for three years.
