Talking to Your Patient About a Germline Variant of Uncertain Significance
A variant of uncertain significance (VUS) detected through germline biomarker testing can be challenging to explain to patients. When a variant is classified as a VUS, there is not enough information available to determine whether it is pathogenic or benign. A VUS is not actionable.
